SELF-DECLARATION OR REGISTRATION

We can assist your company in determining whether to self-declare or register.

Self-Declaration
The International Standard Organization - ISO, allows a company to self-declare that they have a Management System (Environment, Occupational Health & Safety, Quality)in place.

A third party audit verifies that the system meets the Standard requirements.
Pilot Performance Resources Management Inc. offers a third party self-declaration audit to confirm that your management system follows the ISO criteria.

For details on becoming self-declared, please feel free to contact us. Those who have self- declared can have their company/organization name listed and linked on this site. Email your communication to: jpilot@pilotims.com or call 1-905-792-3130.

Registration
When a company wishes to become ISO certified, Pilot Performance assists your company in negotiating and selecting a registrar suitable for your needs.

When preparing to register with a Registrar one must consider the following:
1.) Are you ready for registration?
2.) When should the registration be done?
3.) Who should conduct the registration audit?
4.) Who are the auditors? Are they qualified?
5.) What does the registration process consist of?

Stage 1: Pre-Audit

Stage 2: Registration Audit

Stage 3: Surveillance Audits

Pre-audits determine if the Company's management system is ready for an audit to the standard.

The registrar reviews your issues, tours your facility and determines if you have conducted an internal audit with management review.

This pre-audit helps the registrar to determine information criteria on your site in planning the audit - i.e. number of auditors, qualification criteria, number of days for audit, and cost.

A registration audit determines whether or not the company's management system meets the ISO Standard.

The registrar will bring a team of auditors to your facility, conduct audit and provide written report of findings.

Registration certificate is valid for three years, as long as conformance/surveillance audit results are satisfactory.

Conformance/surveillance audits are conducted every six, nine or twelve months, depending on the registrars accreditation body and on the registrar.

Conformance/surveillance audits are usually shorter in duration - may be only a few days long. Each

Conformance/surveillance audits are targeted to specific sections of the standard. The audit will verify that the management system is being maintained and is effective to the ISO Standard.

Pilot Performance has assisted some of the major Registrars in implementing their protocols and auditor training to meet ISO criteria.

Our experience and expertise will assist your organization in negotiating and selecting the best registrar's program for your company.

We can be on-site during the actual audit by the registrar to answer questions on your behalf.
